How many people are being born right now?
An estimate of births during a rolling minute.

How this being born estimate works
annual event baseline × typical duration × local-time distribution
The model begins with an annual baseline of 132M events, converts it into event-minutes using a typical 1-minute window, and distributes those minutes around throughout the day.
What the number means
An estimate of births during a rolling minute. Health, age, access and reporting differences make the real total uncertain. The number is a broad modelled estimate, not direct tracking of individuals.
This estimate is for curiosity and perspective. Activities can overlap, and the totals should not be added together as if every category were exclusive.
Baseline sources
These sources anchor the normal model. Activity-specific participation and duration remain clearly labelled modelling assumptions.
