How this seeing a doctor estimate works
annual event baseline × typical duration × local-time distribution
The model begins with an annual baseline of 7.5B events, converts it into event-minutes using a typical 19-minute window, and distributes those minutes around local daytime hours.
What the number means
Outpatient and primary-care encounters. Health, age, access and reporting differences make the real total uncertain. The number is a broad modelled estimate, not direct tracking of individuals.
This estimate is for curiosity and perspective. Activities can overlap, and the totals should not be added together as if every category were exclusive.
Baseline sources
These sources anchor the normal model. Activity-specific participation and duration remain clearly labelled modelling assumptions.
